Former Chelsea youngster Kyle Scott has reportedly agreed terms ahead of a transfer to Newcastle United.
Scott has spent the last 12 years in the Chelsea academy setup, making his senior debut during an FA Cup fixture against Hull City in February 2018.
However, the 21-year-old was released at the end of his contract last month, leaving the American as a free agent ahead of the new campaign.
According to The Sun, Newcastle have moved quickly to take advantage of the prospect's availability by offering the midfielder a two-year contract.
The move will be finalised upon the completion of a medical, although it is unclear whether Scott will be in Steve Bruce's first-team plans for the upcoming season.
Aside from one outing with the Blues, Scott has also spent a period on loan with Dutch second-tier outfit Telstar, where he made a total of 14 appearances.
