Left-back Fabio da Silva is given his first QPR start since September 1 for this afternoon's trip to Newcastle United.

Harry Redknapp has given left-back Fabio da Silva his first start since September 1 in this afternoon's trip to Newcastle United.

Fabio will start on the left of a four-man defence that appears to have Anton Ferdinand out of position on the opposite side at right-back.

For the home side, Alan Pardew names an expected XI that includes a three-pronged attack of Papiss Cisse, Demba Ba and Jonas Gutierrez.

Newcastle: Krul; Simpson, Williamson, Coloccini, Santon; Perch, Tiote, Anita; Cisse, Ba, Gutierrez

QPR: Green; Ferdinand, Nelsen, Hill, Fabio; Mackie, Granero, Mbia, Faurlin, Taarabt; Cisse
