West Ham United striker Andy Carroll admits that he is expecting former side Newcastle United to pose a tough test at the weekend.

West Ham United forward Andy Carroll has admitted that he is hoping his side can continue their impressive form at Upton Park against Newcastle United on Saturday.

The Hammers have picked up seven points from their last three home matches, but while Carroll is confident of securing three points, he has insisted that his former side will be no pushovers.

The 24-year-old told the London Evening Standard: "It will be a tough game, it always is against them.

"We are playing well at home and getting the results, so we will be looking to keep that going."

The England international has scored seven goals in 21 Premier League appearances during his loan spell from Liverpool.
