Robin van Persie: "We will go for it against any team"

Netherlands captain Robin van Persie insists that his side will "go for it" against Chile, despite only needing a draw to qualify as Group B winners.

Netherlands captain Robin van Persie has revealed that his side will "go for it" against Chile, despite knowing that only a draw is needed for them to top the group.

After two wins against Spain and Australia, the 2010 finalists top Group B with six points, though Chile are only behind on goal difference.

The two sides face each other in Sao Paulo on Monday, with the winner guaranteed to top the group and avoid a likely clash with hosts Brazil. Van Persie was adamant that the Netherlands would not change their tactics in the final group game.

"We believe in each other and we will go for it, we will go for it against any team," the Manchester United forward told reporters. "It doesn't matter against who we play. [The] next one is Chile and we will go for it.

"Although we know that we can draw the game, we want to win. I think it's better for us to come first in the group.

"From our point of view we just have to come first and then see what happens because Brazil play after our game which is interesting. We have qualified, but we have to qualify first and then we will see what comes in our path and we just take it from there."

Van Persie, who is suspended for the Chile clash, has scored three goals in two games at the World Cup so far.
