Newly-promoted Championship side MK Dons have agreed a new two-year contract with club captain Dean Lewington.
The 31-year-old has been with the club since its formation, missing just 50 games in the past 11 seasons.
His previous deal was due to expire at the end of this month, but he has now put pen to paper on terms running until the end of 2016-17 as the Dons prepare for life in the second tier.
"I'm extremely happy to be staying," he told the club website. "I've always loved it here and always been really happy. It's been a great partnership."
Lewington has made over 500 appearances for the club, last season scoring three goals in 41 League One appearances as MK earned automatic promotion on the final day of the season.
