Millwall goalkeeper David Forde requires surgery on a knee injury suffered at the weekend and could be out of action for six weeks.

Millwall goalkeeper David Forde will require surgery on his injured left knee and could be out of action for up to six weeks.

The Republic of Ireland number one, 33, sustained the injury in the Lions' opening-day defeat at home to Yeovil.

Stephen Bywater will make his debut for the Lions in place of Forde in tonight's League Cup tie at home to AFC Wimbledon of League Two.
