Doncaster Rovers defender George Friend is reportedly close to completing a move to Middlesbrough.
The 24-year-old held talks with Tony Mowbray's side at the weekend, and Rovers boss Dean Saunders has confirmed that the two clubs have agreed a fee.
"I didn't want to lose George but I've got to get some players out before I can get some in. We've agreed a fee but I think there will be a few other clubs coming in and trying to take him as well," he told the BBC.
Friend made 29 appearances for Doncaster last season.
