Middlesbrough boss Tony Mowbray offers trials to French midfield duo Nabil Souni and Walid Abeid.

Championship side Middlesbrough have offered trials to midfield pair Nabil Souni and Walid Abeid.

It had been thought that Boro boss Tony Mowbray had completed his transfer business this summer, having already added five players to his squad.

However, it now appears that Mowbray is willing to consider the French duo, who are available on free transfers.

Centre-midfielder Souni has spent the majority of his career in Switzerland with Neuchatel Xamax and FC Sion, while winger Abeid has more recently been plying his trade with Fulham.

Abeid is the brother of Newcastle United midfielder Mehdi.
