Marseille head coach Marcelo Bielsa has revealed that he will not be punishing Andre-Pierre Gignac or Brice Dja Djedje after the two were involved in an altercation earlier this week.
Bielsa confirmed reports suggesting that the pair had clashed after Wednesday's defeat to Rennes in the Coupe de la Ligue, but he is keen to move past the incident as the Ligue 1 leaders turn their focus to the game with Lens on Sunday.
"Yes, there has been a dispute between Andre-Pierre Gignac and Brice Dja Djedje," the Argentine told reporters. "This kind of episode happens regularly in any professional club.
"I never punish players for this action. I have never taken action against a player in my career. I believe more in forgiveness, than punishment.
"I have not spoken with them. This is not what we desire but it does not compromise our team."
Dja Djedje, who was sent off against Rennes, will miss the meeting with Lens due to suspension.
