Barcelona sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta is confident that Andres Iniesta will sign a new long-term contract with the Spanish outfit before 2014.
The Spanish international's current deal expires in 2015 and thus far talks over a fresh contract have stalled due to wage demands.
That has alerted Manchester United, who are believed to be preparing a move in January. However, Zubizarreta has claimed that a new deal will soon be agreed.
"I think Iniesta will renew his contract before Christmas," he told Radio Catalunya.
Iniesta has been with Barcelona since 1996.
