Barcelona boss Xavi remains confident that Ousmane Dembele will decide to sign a new deal at Camp Nou.
The France international is heading into the final six months of his contract with the Catalan giants, and he will be free to hold talks with foreign clubs next month over a switch at the end of the season.
Manchester United, Chelsea, Newcastle United and Juventus are among a number of clubs to be credited with an interest in the World Cup winner's services.
However, Xavi 'feels positive' over the situation, and the Barcelona head coach is confident that the 24-year-old will decide to commit his long-term future to the La Liga giants.
"I feel positive with him again. Ousmane says that he wants to continue, that he is happy here. It is a matter of agreeing with his representative. He knows about the importance he will have if he stays," Xavi told reporters.
The Frenchman has only made six appearances for Barcelona during the 2021-22 campaign, having picked up a hamstring problem after recovering from a long-term knee injury.
Dembele has featured on 124 occasions for the Catalan outfit since arriving from Borussia Dortmund in July 2017, contributing 30 goals and 21 assists in the process.
