Man United boss Louis van Gaal hints at interest in signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal hints that he may consider a move for Paris Saint-Germain star Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has hinted that he may consider making a move for Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the summer.

The Sweden international has stated that he will leave Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the season when his contract expires.

Arsenal have been linked with the forward, while overseas transfers to MLS in the United States have also been touted as a possibility.

On the other hand, reports in Italy have claimed that Ibrahimovic is close to agreeing a new one-year deal at PSG.

Whatever Ibrahimovic's plans are, Van Gaal has spoken of his admiration for the player, but is concerned about his age.

"It is unbelievable what he is doing," the Manchester Evening News quotes Van Gaal as saying. "I saw the game against Manchester City, and it was a big disappointment for me because he should have scored two times at least.

"Paris Saint-Germain is Zlatan and that is fantastic. When a manager like me, who favours the team, is saying that, that is a compliment for him. You never know. I cannot say anything about that subject. He's already 34."

Ibrahimovic has scored 30 Ligue 1 goals this season.
