Manchester United are preparing to battle Arsenal for the signature of Dalian Yifang attacker Yannick Ferreira Carrasco, according to a report.

Manchester United are reportedly preparing to battle Arsenal for the signature of Dalian Yifang attacker Yannick Ferreira Carrasco in this summer's transfer window.

Carrasco scored 23 times in 123 appearances for Atletico Madrid before completing a surprise move to the Chinese Super League in February 2018.

The Belgium international has registered seven times in 26 appearances for Dalian Yifang, but is believed to be keen to return to European football at the end of the 2018-19 campaign.

Arsenal continue to be strongly linked with a swoop for the 25-year-old, but according to Corriere dello Sport, United are 'lurking in the background' as they consider a summer bid.

Carrasco came through the youth system at Genk before joining Monaco in 2010.
