Manchester United will reportedly allow Axel Tuanzebe to join Newcastle United this summer if the Red Devils can secure a move for Leicester City's Harry Maguire.
United continue to be linked with Maguire's services, although it is understood that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side are struggling to come to an agreement with the Foxes.
According to the Daily Mail, Newcastle boss Steve Bruce wants to bring Tuanzebe to St James's Park before this summer's transfer window closes for business.
However, the report claims that any move for the 21-year-old hinges on whether the Red Devils can land Maguire ahead of the 2019-20 campaign.
Tuanzebe, who spent last season on loan with Aston Villa in the Championship, has featured heavily for United during their preparations for the new campaign.
Solskjaer has already lost one central defender in the build-up to the season-opening clash with Chelsea, having seen Eric Bailly pick up a knee problem which will sideline him for five months.
