Goalkeeper Sergio Romero reportedly wants to leave Manchester United for the MLS before the end of October.
Romero was keen to move to another club during the closing days of the European transfer window after dropping down the pecking order at Old Trafford.
However, the 33-year-old failed to secure a switch to Everton, who ultimately opted to sign Robin Olsen from Roma as an alternative.
According to the Daily Mail, the Argentina international will now attempt to make the switch to the United States over the coming weeks.
MLS clubs have until October 29 to complete transfers, leaving them as Romero's most likely option as he bids to end his time at United.
Much could depend on whether the Premier League giants are prepared to lower their valuation of the veteran.
