Manchester United are holding out for a fee of £148m for midfielder Paul Pogba, according to a report.
The France international has featured just eight times in all competitions this season and has been touted with a summer switch to Real Madrid.
Pogba was also linked with Madrid and former club Juventus last year, but United's rumoured £169m valuation at the time put off both teams from making a formal approach.
Spanish outlet AS indicates that the Red Devils have accepted the 26-year-old is desperate to move on, however, and have therefore lowered their asking price.
Should Madrid fail to offer the full amount, it is claimed that United will stand firm and make Pogba remain at Old Trafford for another season.
World Cup winner Pogba is recovering from a long-term ankle injury and is not part of United's warm-weather training camp in Spain.
