Report: Manchester United to sell Juan Mata in January

Manchester United are reportedly prepared to offload Juan Mata for £20m as manager Louis van Gaal looks set to return to the transfer market in January.

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal is reportedly prepared to offload Juan Mata for £20m as he prepares to bring in several new players in January.

A further £50m will be available for Van Gaal to continue his rebuilding project at Manchester United, with Arturo Vidal, Mats Hummels and Sami Khedira the Dutchman's top targets, according to the Daily Mail.

The sale of Mata would supplement moves for the trio, with Atletico Madrid, Roma and Juventus all having been linked with the Spanish midfielder.

Mata, 26, joined Manchester United from Chelsea for £37m last January.
