Manchester United have opened talks with Watford over a move for attacker Ismaila Sarr, according to a report.
The Senegal international was strongly linked with a switch to Liverpool earlier in the window, only for the Reds to instead bring in Diogo Jota.
Watford's large asking price of around £45m is said to have put off Jurgen Klopp's side, but United are in need of a wide player and may be about to make a move.
Sky Sports News reports that discussions are ongoing between the Hornets and United, with the Red Devils viewing Sarr as a stopgap until next summer.
United have 11 more days to get a deal over the line for the 22-year-old, as an additional domestic window opens once the international deadline passes on Monday.
Barcelona's Ousmane Dembele is believed to be another option for United, who have seemingly accepted defeat in their pursuit of Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho.
