Real Madrid have reportedly dropped their interest in Chelsea centre-back Antonio Rudiger.
The Germany international has now entered the final six months of his contract at Stamford Bridge, meaning that he is currently able to discuss terms with foreign clubs.
Real Madrid have been heavily linked with the 28-year-old, who is believed to be leaning towards leaving Chelsea despite his status as a key player for the European Cup holders.
However, according to ABC, Los Blancos are not planning to sign the German due to the presence of Eder Militao and David Alaba at the Bernabeu.
The report claims that the cost of the deal has also put the Spanish giants off, as Rudiger wants a substantial contract, in addition to a signing-on bonus of €20m (£16.8m).
Paris Saint-Germain are now believed to be at the head of the queue for the centre-back, although Bayern Munich and Manchester United are also among the clubs to be credited with an interest.
Rudiger has again been a vital player for Thomas Tuchel's side during the 2021-22 campaign, making 25 appearances in all competitions, contributing two goals and four assists in the process.
