David Moyes reportedly makes signing Robert Lewandowski from Borussia Dortmund his top priority for when he moves into the Manchester United hotseat.

David Moyes has reportedly made signing Borussia Dortmund star Robert Lewandowski his top priority for when he officially becomes Manchester United manager in July.

The Scotsman has agreed a six-year deal to replace Sir Alex Ferguson at the helm of Old Trafford following the 71-year-old's decision to retire at the end of the season.

Lewandowski has been heavily linked with a switch to the Premier League champions over the last few months, and it is understood that Moyes wants to secure the Poland international's signature, which could pave the way for Wayne Rooney's exit, according to the Daily Star.

Despite United's reported eagerness to clinch the 24-year-old, they could be too late if rumours that Dortmund have already agreed to sell Lewandowski to rivals Bayern Munich are true.
