Juan Mata: 'Anderson has left Manchester United'

Manchester United midfielder Anderson has left the club to return to his native Brazil, according to Juan Mata.

Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata has revealed that Anderson has left the club to return to his native Brazil.

The 26-year-old, who moved to Old Trafford in 2007, has struggled to hold down a regular first-team place in recent seasons.

Mata has used his weekly blog to announce that Anderson has moved on to pastures new, although the details of the transfer have not been made clear yet.

After writing on his blog, Mata added: "I want to wish good luck to my friend Anderson, who is back to football in his native Brazil. All the best, my friend!"

Anderson made 70 Premier League starts during his time with United.
