Manchester United could reportedly miss out on a deal for Alex Telles before Monday's transfer deadline as Porto are refusing to drop their asking price for the left-back.
The Red Devils have been strongly linked with the Brazil international over the last few weeks but are seemingly reluctant to overspend on a player who is out of contract next summer.
United are allegedly only prepared to pay £9m for the 27-year-old, who has scored twice and provided one assist in two appearances for Porto during the 2020-21 campaign.
However, according to O Jogo, the Portuguese club have signalled that £18m will be required to sign the South American, and the price will not drop in the latter stages of the transfer window.
Luke Shaw and Brandon Williams are currently United's left-back options, but the former continues to struggle with injury problems while the latter is still inexperienced at Premier League level.
Telles has scored 26 times and provided 56 assists in 194 outings for Porto in all competitions.
