Manchester United expect Leighton Baines to submit Everton transfer request?

Manchester United reportedly expect Leighton Baines to submit a transfer request at Everton during the January transfer window.

Manchester United are reportedly expecting Everton full-back Leighton Baines to formally ask to leave the Merseyside outfit in the January transfer window.

The Premier League champions are said to be prepared to launch a fresh bid for the England international following their failed £15m effort in the summer window.

However, the club have told Baines's camp that they want him to submit a transfer request in order to push the move through, according to Goal.com.

Everton boss Roberto Martinez has publicly stated that he wants Baines to sign a new contract, but fresh terms are yet to be finalised.
