Barcelona are reportedly closing in on a deal for Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood.
The 22-year-old left Man United last summer to join Getafe on loan, and he has been in strong form for the capital side this season, scoring five goals and registering four assists in 19 appearances.
As it stands, Greenwood will head back to his parent club at the end of the 2023-24 campaign, and he has a contract at Old Trafford until the summer of 2025.
A recent report claimed that there was 'a small chance' that the Red Devils academy product could revive his career with Erik ten Hag's side.
However, it is thought to be highly unlikely that he will turn out for the 20-time English champions again, and having settled in Spain, a permanent switch this summer is thought to be on the cards.

Getafe have expressed a desire to sign him permanently, but the capital outfit are not expected to be in a position to secure his services on a long-term basis.
Talk of interest from Barcelona has intensified in recent weeks, and according to The Sun, the Catalan outfit are confident of signing him during this summer's transfer window.
The report claims that the La Liga champions have been 'monitoring' Greenwood throughout the campaign, and he is 'edging ever closer' to a move to Camp Nou.
The forward has allegedly told Barcelona advisors that he 'dreams' of joining the Catalan side, and Man United have decided to sell him this summer despite suggestions of a potential return to the first team.

Valencia and Real Sociedad have also been credited with an interest in a player who has scored three goals and registered four assists in 16 La Liga appearances this season.
At the start of 2022, following accusations from a woman, Greenwood was arrested on suspicion of rape and assault, and he was then further arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and threats to kill.
The forward was also facing charges of attempted rape, engaging in controlling and coercive behaviour, and assault occasioning actual bodily harm, but there is no longer a case against him.
Greenwood, who last turned out for Man United in January 2022, has 35 goals and 12 assists in 129 matches for his parent club in all competitions.
The Red Devils are believed to have made the decision to bring Greenwood back last summer before reversing their stance due to the public backlash.
