Manchester United will reportedly decide whether to make a move for Tottenham Hotspur centre-back Toby Alderweireld in this summer's transfer window by the end of next week.
Alderweireld's current Tottenham deal runs until the end of the 2019-20 campaign.
However, a £25m clause comes into effect this summer and United have been linked with a swoop for the Belgium international, who will line up for Spurs in Saturday's Champions League final with Liverpool.
According to The Sun, the Red Devils will decide next week whether to submit an offer for the 30-year-old, although Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could decide to snub a move and stick with his current crop of defenders.
The 6ft 2in centre-back has made over 160 appearances for Spurs since a 2015 move from Atletico Madrid.
Solskjaer, meanwhile, is reportedly ready to hand Eric Bailly the chance to prove his worth during pre-season.
