Manchester United are reportedly serious contenders to sign West Ham United's Declan Rice this summer, although Arsenal remain favourites to sign the midfielder.

Manchester United have reportedly entered the race to sign West Ham United's Declan Rice this summer, although Arsenal remain the favourites to secure the services of the midfielder.

The 24-year-old has a year left on his contract at the London Stadium, and he could play in his final game for the Hammers on Wednesday night when they face Italian outfit Fiorentina in the final of the Europa Conference League.

Having won the club's Player of the Season award in successive campaigns, the England international has attracted interest from a host of Premier League sides.

One of those teams is said to be Manchester United, with Football Insider claiming that the Red Devils are serious contenders to sign Rice this summer despite Arsenal being the front-runners.

The report claims that Erik ten Hag's side are waiting to see if a deal between West Ham and the Gunners falls through - it is understood that there is currently a disparity between how the Hammers and the North Londoners value the player.

David Moyes's men are said to be demanding £100m for Rice whereas Mikel Arteta's side value the midfielder at £80m-£85m, considering that the player's contract is running into its final year.
