Manchester United have reportedly been handed a boost in their efforts to sign Rennes midfielder Eduardo Camavinga.
While the Premier League giants have already brought in Raphael Varane and Jadon Sancho, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen to strengthen his squad with another central midfielder.
Camavinga has been frequently linked with a transfer to Old Trafford having refused to extend his Rennes contract past the end of 2021-22.
According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, the French side are now prepared to part ways with their most prized asset for €35m (£30.05m).
Rennes officials are keen to ensure that they do not lose Camavinga on a free transfer, something which will become a realistic possibility if the 18-year-old is not sold before the end of August.
Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid and Chelsea are also said to be monitoring the situation.
