Manchester United are reportedly confident of acquiring Newcastle United midfielder Sean Longstaff in this summer's transfer window.
United have already signed Daniel James from Swansea City, with the Wales international penning a long-term contract at Old Trafford.
According to The Mirror, the Red Devils now want to make Longstaff their second summer signing, with a £25m deal for the central midfielder expected to go through ahead of the 2019-20 campaign.
Longstaff, who is currently recovering from knee ligament damage, scored once in nine Premier League appearances for Newcastle last season.
The 21-year-old recently suggested that he would not be leaving the Magpies this summer.
However, the report claims that United are confident of landing the midfielder as part of their summer rebuild, which is also expected to see a centre-back and wide forward arrive at Old Trafford.
