Manchester United and Liverpool may reportedly decide against making an approach for Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic.
With just under 15 months remaining on his contract, Viola are said to be open to selling the Serbia international during the summer transfer window.
A number of Premier League clubs, including the two North-West giants, have been credited with an interest in the 23-year-old.
However, Corriere Fiorentino claims that United and Liverpool are now having second thoughts over whether to bring in the player.
The report suggests that Milenkovic's poor performance for his country against Portugal during the March international break could count against him.
Milenkovic was also part of the backline which conceded twice versus out-of-form Republic of Ireland in the previous game.
