Manchester United are reportedly eyeing a move for Southampton forward Danny Ings.
The 28-year-old has had his injury problems during the 2020-21 campaign but has enjoyed another productive season for the Saints, scoring 12 times in 28 Premier League appearances.
Ings's current deal at St Mary's is due to expire next summer, and it has been widely reported that the Englishman will be on the move during this summer's transfer window.
Tottenham Hotspur have been credited with an interest in the forward, but according to The Telegraph, Man United are considering a move for the former Bournemouth youngster.
The report claims that the 20-time English champions are hoping to take advantage of Ings's contract situation to sign him for a cut-price fee.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side have also been linked with both Tottenham's Harry Kane and Borussia Dortmund's Erling Braut Haaland, but Ings would represent a much cheaper option.
The forward has scored 46 times in 99 appearances for Southampton in all competitions.
