Manchester United reportedly have their sights set on securing a deal for Bayern Munich winger Serge Gnabry next summer.
The Premier League giants are currently preparing to square off against the Bundesliga champions in their 2023-24 Champions League opener on Wednesday night.
However, despite the season being just five games old, head coach Erik ten Hag already finds himself in a position where he is having to consider at least one fresh face for the final third.
Jadon Sancho appears highly likely to depart Old Trafford over the coming transfer windows, potentially as soon as January should United receive a suitable offer for a player who has fallen out with Ten Hag.
Antony is also missing for United for the foreseeable future, a consequence of both parties agreeing that it is the correct move amid allegations of domestic abuse.

United are now in a position where they are suddenly largely reliant on youngsters on both sides of the pitch, with Marcus Rashford being partly used there to add some seniority.
Nevertheless, Ten Hag - or whoever is in the dugout for 2024-25 - may be tasked with bringing in an experienced face in a creative role.
According to Fichajes, the Red Devils may be willing to spend €60m (£51.77m) to sign Gnabry during the next summer transfer window.
Last year, the Germany international appeared on course to leave the Allianz Arena, only to sign a new contract that will keep him tied to Bayern until 2026.

The 28-year-old subsequently contributed 16 goals and nine assists from 42 appearances in the Bundesliga and Champions League during 2022-23, but he is not viewed as a certain starter under Thomas Tuchel.
As it stands, Gnabry has made two starts and one substitute outings in the top flight this campaign, never playing more than 71 minutes and being yet to chip in with a goal or assist.
Bayern would allegedly be open to doing business should they receive the right offer, money that could then be used on strengthening in defensive areas.
Despite his overall success in his homeland, Gnabry was less productive when previously in England with Arsenal and West Bromwich Albion, only providing a total of one goal and one assist in 11 Premier League outings for the two sides.
