Manchester United are reportedly contemplating whether to end their pursuit of Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho for at least another year.

Manchester United are reportedly considering whether to scrap their efforts to sign Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho.

Since the turn of the year, United have been heavily linked with the England international, who has established himself as one of the star players in the Bundesliga.

Although it has been recently suggested that United have made progress with regards to personal terms, the two clubs are yet to agree a fee.

According to the Daily Star, United are ready to shelve their interest for this year, maintaining that they will not meet Dortmund's £108m asking price.

With the 20-year-old having a contract until the end of the 2022-23 campaign, the Bundesliga outfit are not open to reaching a compromise.

United are said to have identified potential alternatives, a list which includes Juventus' Douglas Costa and Inter Milan's Ivan Perisic.
