Manchester United and Chelsea have reportedly both made contact with Bayern Munich over a deadline day deal for midfielder Marcel Sabitzer.
The Austria international has been unable to force his way into the Bavarians' first XI on a consistent basis, with Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka establishing themselves as Julian Nagelsmann's first-choice pairing.
Sabitzer has scored one goal and set up one more in 24 appearances for the German champions this season, but he has started just seven matches for Bayern in the Bundesliga.
According to journalist Florian Plettenberg, both Man United and Chelsea have now enquired about the 28-year-old's availability as the Premier League rivals seek late additions to their engine rooms.
Man United have lost Christian Eriksen for at least three months due to an ankle injury, while Chelsea are running out of time to get a £105m deal for Benfica's Enzo Fernandez over the line.
The Blues have also allowed Jorginho to join London counterparts Arsenal in a £12m deal, and Bayern could be open to letting Sabitzer depart before the window slams shut later on Tuesday.
Sabitzer left RB Leipzig in 2021 to join Bayern in a €15m (£13.2m) deal, and the midfielder has two goals and two assists to show from 54 games for Nagelsmann's men.
Sabitzer's contract at the Allianz Arena still has two and a half years left to run, but he is understood to be open to a departure in search of regular game time.
