Manchester United and Arsenal could allegedly go head-to-head for the signature of Lyon striker Moussa Dembele during this summer's transfer window.
The 25-year-old has entered the final 18 months of his contract with his French club, and a recent report claimed that Man United were lining up a summer approach for the former Fulham youngster.
According to FootMercato, the 20-time English champions are planning to scout Dembele when Lyon take on Porto in the second leg of their last-16 Europa League clash on Thursday night.
However, the report claims that there is also interest from Arsenal, with the Gunners expected to sign a couple of new forwards during this summer's transfer window.
Dembele has been in strong form for Lyon during the 2021-22 campaign, scoring 10 times and registering three assists in 23 appearances in all competitions.
Man United allegedly do not view the Frenchman as a regular starter, rather a replacement for Edinson Cavani, who is set to leave Old Trafford on a free transfer at the end of June.
Dembele has scored 55 goals and registered 16 assists in 131 appearances for Lyon since making the move from Celtic in August 2018.
