Manchester United and Arsenal are reportedly set to battle for the signing of Napoli striker Victor Osimhen this summer.
Despite several weeks on the sidelines with injury this season, the 23-year-old has scored 11 goals and provided four assists in 22 appearances for the Italian outfit across all competitions.
With the long-term futures of veteran forward Cristiano Ronaldo and Edinson Cavani uncertain, the Red Devils are set to target a new centre-forward ahead of next season.
Arsenal, meanwhile, are also in the market for a new striker, following the departure or Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to Barcelona and with Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah both out of contract in the summer.
According to football.london, Man United and Arsenal are both keeping a close eye on £84m-rated Osimhen, who has two-and-a-half years remaining on his Napoli contract.
The report also refers to comments from Italian journalist Paolo Bargiggia, who claims that the Nigeria international came close to joining the Gunners in 2020 before deciding to move to Naples from Lille.
Osimhen has made a total of 52 appearances for Napoli in all competitions, scoring 21 goals and registering seven assists.
