The agent of Borussia Dortmund attacker Shinji Kagawa confirms that his client held transfer discussions with Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson on Tuesday.

Borussia Dortmund attacker Shinji Kagawa reportedly held transfer discussions with Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson on Tuesday.

The 23-year-old is expected to move to the Premier League after refusing to sign a new contract with the Bundesliga champions, and his agent Thomas Kroth has revealed that the player flew to Manchester to meet with Ferguson.

Kroth is understood to have told Kicker that "the outcome is open", following discussions between the two parties.

Kagawa is expected to cost in the region of £12m.
