Juventus are reportedly set to put Jadon Sancho transfer talks on hold as the Manchester United winger is considered too expensive to sign by the Italian giants.

Juventus are reportedly set to put talks to sign Jadon Sancho on hold as the Manchester United winger is considered to be too expensive, given that the Italian side may have a lower budget to work with in the January transfer window.

Sancho has been banished from the Man United first team since September following his public fallout with manager Erik ten Hag.

The United boss criticised Sancho for a lack of effort in training, which the player responded to on social media by essentially accusing his manager of dishonesty.

Juventus had been linked with a possible move for the 23-year-old in January, but according to a report from Tuttosport, the Serie A side is set to back out of the deal because Sancho will cost too much.

The report adds that The Old Lady intends to prioritise a deal for Sassuolo attacker Domenico Berardi, who has also been linked with Fiorentina and Arsenal, instead.

Ukraine and Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Georgiy Sudakov has also emerged as a more economical option compared to Sancho in the lead-up to the January transfer window.

Sancho currently earns in the region of £275,000 a week and is under contract at Old Trafford until 2026 with the option of another year.

Ten Hag's side are seventh in the Premier League and sit bottom of Group A in the Champions League with one match to go.
