Clubs from the Saudi Pro League have allegedly cooled their interest in Casemiro, with the experienced midfielder potentially now remaining with Manchester United until at least January 2025.
The Brazilian arrived at Old Trafford from Real Madrid in the summer of 2022 and enjoyed an impressive 2022-23 campaign, scoring seven goals and registering six assists in 51 appearances for the Red Devils.
Casemiro found it difficult to show his best form for the 20-time English champions last season, though, with his performances from a defensive point of view being heavily criticised.
The 32-year-old did manage to contribute five goals and three assists in 32 outings for Erik ten Hag's side, but his overall performance level was below the standard that he has set throughout his career.
Casemiro has another two years left to run on his contract at Old Trafford, with the option of an additional year, but it had been thought that he would be on his way this summer.

Saudi clubs 'cool their interest' in Casemiro
A number of Saudi Pro League outfits have been linked with Casemiro, with Al-Nassr thought to lead the interest in a player who collects in the region of £350,000 a week at Old Trafford.
However, according to Sky Sports News, the interest has now cooled, and it now appears unlikely that Casemiro will be leaving Ten Hag's side before the end of the transfer window.
A switch to another European club is highly unlikely due to the money involved, with Saudi Arabia the only realistic destination for the Brazilian due to the country's financial power.
Casemiro has been heavily involved in Man United's preparations for the 2024-25 campaign and is expected to start Saturday's Community Shield against Manchester City.

Is McTominay leaving Man United?
Scott McTominay is another Man United midfielder being linked with a move away from Old Trafford this summer, with Galatasaray and Fulham both believed to be keen on the Scotland international.
However, Fulham's second offer for McTominay - thought to be in the region of £20m - was quickly rejected by the 20-time English champions, and it remains to be seen if a fresh bid is submitted.
At this moment, Fulham are the only realistic contenders for McTominay, but Man United are not actively looking to sell the midfielder, who scored 10 goals in all competitions last season.
The Red Devils remain keen to bring in another player in that area of the field, though, and it is understood that discussions are ongoing with Burnley over a potential move for Sander Berge, while the club are believed to have spoken to Monaco about a switch for Youssouf Fofana.
