Inter Milan have reportedly targeted Manchester United forward Edinson Cavani as a replacement for Alexis Sanchez.
The Serie A champions are said to be keen to bolster their attacking options with an experienced forward, with the 33-year-old Chilean touted as the most likely player to make way.
According to the Daily Mail, Simone Inzaghi's side have identified Manchester United's Cavani as a key target, with the 35-year-old's contract at Old Trafford expiring in the summer.
I Nerazzurri may face competition for his signature, though, with Barcelona linked with a move while the forward is also said to be considering a return to South America after extending his initial Red Devils contract by another year.
Should the Milan outfit land their man, Cavani would return to Serie A after nine years away, having left Napoli in 2013 for Paris Saint-Germain, for whom he scored 200 goals.
His spell with the Naples side was a productive one, too, with the Uruguayan international finding the net 104 times in 138 appearances, while he has since contributed 19 goals and seven assists for the English giants over the last two years.
