Liverpool are reportedly exploring a summer move for Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi.
The 25-year-old's future is currently the subject of much speculation, with the likes of Barcelona, Arsenal and Manchester United all believed to be keen on the Spain international.
According to The Athletic, there is also interest from Liverpool, with the Merseyside giants currently considering making a move for the Real Sociedad midfielder.
There is a €60m (£51.5m) release clause in his current deal, and Real Sociedad have allegedly made it clear to interested clubs that he will not be allowed to leave this summer for less.
Meanwhile, there are no guarantees that Zubimendi would move even if his release clause is paid, with the Spaniard said to be happy to stay with his Basque outfit despite interest from major clubs.

Liverpool 'add Zubimendi to midfield shortlist'
Liverpool are believed to view Zubimendi as the ideal signing to strengthen the number six position, and according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, discussions between the Reds and the midfielder's La Liga club are expected to occur in the coming days.
Man United have recently been linked with Zubimendi, with Romano claiming that there is "appreciation" from the Red Devils, but it remains a complicated deal.
"It's important to say that, for Zubimendi, there is an appreciation from the scouting department. But Zubimendi is a complicated deal because of the price," Romano told GiveMeSport.
"There is a €60m release clause, but the player is not desperate to leave the club. He has always been very happy at Real Sociedad. It's his city, it's his country, so that's why Zubimendi is not an easy deal. But there are several options and, for sure, Manchester United are considering doing something in the midfield."
Zubimendi contributed to Spain winning Euro 2024, making four appearances at the competition, including playing the second half of the final against England after Rodri went off injured.

How has Zubimendi performed for Real Sociedad?
Zubimendi has been with Real Sociedad since 2011, progressing through the youth system at the club and then representing Real Sociedad C and Real Sociedad B before breaking into the first team.
The midfielder has 188 senior appearances for his Basque outfit, boasting a record of eight goals and seven assists, including eight outings in the Champions League.
Zubimendi was again in strong form during the 2023-24 campaign, scoring four goals and registering one assist in 45 appearances in all competitions.
For €60m (£51.5m), the Spaniard is an attractive proposition, and Real Sociedad are right to hold firm on their asking price considering his quality, with Liverpool now needing to decide whether they will go all in for the Euro 2024 winner.
