Manchester United are expected to soon confirm the arrival of teenage superstar Chido Obi Martin, who revealed at the end of July that he would be leaving Arsenal this summer.
The Gunners had been desperate to keep hold of the 16-year-old and offered him another contract, but Obi Martin decided that his career would be better served by leaving the North London club.
Obi Martin's next club has not been officially confirmed, but it is understood that Man United will soon announce his arrival in what will be a major coup for the 20-time English champions.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the forward underwent the first part of his medical on Tuesday, with Obi Martin thought to have rejected a number of other major clubs to agree a deal at Old Trafford.
There are thought to have been more lucrative bids from Germany, but the attacker's decision was not driven by money, instead believing that Man United would provide the best project.

Obi Martin's goalscoring record last season was incredible
Obi Martin scored an incredible 32 goals in 18 league matches for Arsenal Under-18s last season.
The forward struck 10 times against Liverpool Under-16s last November, meanwhile, and he also managed five against West Ham United in April and seven against Norwich City soon after at Under-18s level.
In his final appearance for Arsenal, he struck three times in a 5-2 win over Chelsea, and it is therefore not difficult to understand why there is so much hype surrounding the youngster.
Obi Martin, who made his debut for Arsenal Under-21s at the age of 15, will turn 17 in November, and it will be fascinating to see what Man United have in mind for him during the 2024-25 campaign.
According to transfermarkt, Red Devils head coach Erik ten Hag has made it clear that Obi Martin will be training with the senior squad and will be handed opportunities in the first team next season.

Obi Martin 'set to be Man United's third-choice striker'
Man United have boosted their attack this summer with the signing of Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna, but the Netherlands international is yet to make his debut for the club.
Rasmus Hojlund had been set to start the new campaign as the number one striker, but the Dane will be on the sidelines until the middle of September due to a hamstring problem.
Obi Martin has allegedly been told that he will be Man United's third-choice striker behind Hojlund and Zirkzee, suggesting that there could be plenty of first-team minutes in the coming season.
Indeed, if the move goes through in the near future, it is not impossible to imagine Obi Martin featuring in the Premier League in the early stages of the 2024-25 campaign.

Ten Hag put his trust in teenagers last season
Man United boss Ten Hag handed 4,971 combined minutes to six Red Devils teenagers last season in the Premier League, with Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo responsible for the vast majority of those.
Garnacho and Mainoo are again set to be vital players for Man United this season, and for all of the criticism aimed at Ten Hag, he has shown that he will give youth a chance if they are good enough.
Harry Amass, 17, could start the new campaign as the first-choice left-back, with the Englishman being trusted during pre-season.
Arsenal were 19th on the list last season, though, with Gunners head coach Mikel Arteta only handing 13 minutes to one teenager - Ethan Nwaneri - in the Premier League in 2024-25.
Obi Martin allegedly did not see a pathway to the first team at the Emirates Stadium, but he could quickly find himself firmly in the first-team set-up at Old Trafford.
