Report: Chelsea on verge of beating Manchester United to Kenedy deal

Chelsea are close to completing the signing of Fluminense teenager Kenedy despite interest from Manchester United, according to reports.

Chelsea are on the verge of beating Manchester United to the signing of Brazil youth international Kenedy, according to reports.

The 19-year-old began his career at Fluminense and made his professional debut for the Brazilian giants in 2014, going on to make 40 appearances.

According to the Daily Star, a £6.3m fee has been agreed between the two clubs, with just personal terms to be decided.

Kenedy, a Brazil Under-20 international, would become Chelsea's second signing of the close-season after Nathan de Souza was purchased from Atletico Paranaense in May.
