Andreas Pereira's proposed move from Manchester United to Flamengo has collapsed, according to a report.
The 26-year-old Brazil international joined Flamengo on loan last summer and has since played 34 times across all competitions, including 10 appearances in the 2022 campaign.
With Pereira deemed surplus to requirements at Old Trafford, the midfielder is expected to leave United, and Flamengo were allegedly interested in signing him permanently earlier this year.
However, Brazilian news outlet IG Esporte claims that the Brasileiro Serie A side have now withdrawn their efforts to recruit Pereira on a permanent deal.
The report adds that Pereira's inconsistent form and legal complications relating to a 75% part-ownership of the midfielder are the two main reasons why Flamengo have pulled out of a deal.
Pereira, who is set to remain on loan with Flamengo until December, is under contract at Man United until June 2023.
