Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer tells his players that they are going to 'get him the sack' if their poor form continues, according to a report.

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has reportedly told his players that they are going to 'get him the sack' if their poor form continues.

The Red Devils have only won twice in the Premier League this season and currently sit just two points off the relegation zone after their worst start to a league campaign in three decades.

Solskjaer's comments came after the club's 1-0 defeat away to Steve Bruce's Newcastle United on Sunday afternoon, with the Norwegian telling his players that their futures at Old Trafford were also on the line.

The Sun reports that the former Cardiff City boss could see his 10-month tenure in Manchester come to an end if his side are beaten resoundingly by Liverpool after the international break.

However, the report does also suggest that Solskjaer still has the backing of United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward, despite him winning just five of his last 23 games as manager.
