Preview: Manchester United vs. Arsenal

Sports Mole looks ahead to this Sunday's Premier League head to head between Manchester United and Arsenal at Old Trafford.

This Sunday will see two Premier League giants go head to head as Manchester United host Arsenal at Old Trafford.

While the North-West outfit would traditionally be favourites for the encounter, some are tipping Arsenal to snatch all three points on away turf following their impressive start to the season.

It's a campaign of transition for United following the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson in the summer and the arrival of former Everton boss David Moyes.

Ten games into the Premier League season and there are already eight points between the two clubs in the table, with Arsenal soaring at the top and United sitting seven places below.

The Gunners head into the clash five points clear at the top following last Saturday's 2-0 win over Liverpool at the Emirates, while United have overcome an inconsistent start to grab two league wins on the bounce.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has a poor record at Old Trafford having overseen his side lose 2-1 in this fixture last season.

United also managed to secure an 8-2 hammering of the North London outfit in 2011 under the guidance of Ferguson.

Wenger confirmed today that midfielder Mathieu Flamini is likely to return to the first team, while Jack Wilshere is a doubt for the match after missing Arsenal's last two games.

For United, Robin van Persie is expected to line up against his former club at Old Trafford alongside strike partner Wayne Rooney.
