Pablo Zabaleta believes that Manchester City were unlucky to lose Sunday's derby to Manchester United.

Manchester City defender Pablo Zabaleta has claimed that his side were unfortunate to be beaten in Sunday's derby against Manchester United.

The Premier League champions went down 3-2 at the Etihad Stadium as Robin van Persie scored an injury-time winner for the visitors.

Zabaleta tweeted: "It was a hard defeat to accept but I think we deserved a point today. Just thanks so much to the fans for the support and all the messages."

Second-placed City are now six points behind leaders United in the table.
