Tottenham lineup vs. Liverpool: Predicted XI for Premier League clash as Destiny Udogie call made

Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Tottenham Hotspur could line up for Sunday's Premier League clash with Liverpool.

Tottenham Hotspur head coach Ange Postecoglou should be boosted by the return of Destiny Udogie for Sunday's Premier League blockbuster with Liverpool in North London.

The left-back had to come off early in last weekend's 5-0 win over Southampton due to a thigh problem and subsequently missed the 4-3 victory over Manchester United in Thursday's EFL Cup quarter-final.

However, Postecoglou affirmed that Udogie was only "a bit sore" as opposed to carrying a significant injury, so the Italian should be fine to test his defensive mettle against the effervescent Mohamed Salah here.

Ben Davies (hamstring), Cristian Romero (thigh), Micky van de Ven (hamstring), Guglielmo Vicario (ankle), Wilson Odobert (hamstring), Richarlison (hamstring) and Rodrigo Bentancur (suspended) all remain unavailable, though, while Mikey Moore and Timo Werner are both recovering from illnesses and may require late fitness tests.

Neither attacker would force their way into the attacking setup over Son Heung-min, though, and the Spurs captain needs just one more assist to record the most in Tottenham's Premier League history.

Son ought to reprise his role up front with Dominic Solanke, James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski, while Pape Sarr and Yves Bissouma can be expected to partner up at the base of the engine room again.

Djed Spence has performed well in Spurs' last two games, but the ex-Nottingham Forest man could be the one sacrificed to make way for the returning Udogie, as Postecoglou may side with Pedro Porro's experience on the opposite flank.

Radu Dragusin and Archie Gray can be expected to fill in for Romero and Van de Ven once more, while stand-in goalkeeper Fraser Forster seeks to make amends for his two howlers on Thursday night.

Tottenham Hotspur possible starting lineup:
Forster; Porro, Gray, Dragusin, Udogie; Sarr, Bissouma; Kulusevski, Maddison, Son; Solanke
