Antonio Valencia fears Carlos Tevez impact

Manchester United winger Antonio Valencia hopes that Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez does not have an impact on the Premier League title race.

Manchester United winger Antonio Valencia has admitted that he is worried by what Carlos Tevez's return to Manchester City means for the Premier League title race.

The Argentine recently came back into the City fold after a six-month absence following his row with manager Roberto Mancini.

Valencia is now fearful that the striker may haunt the Red Devils when the two sides meet in their showdown at the Etihad Stadium on Monday, April 30.

"If Carlos plays against us, I'm sure he'll be motivated," the Ecuadorian told The Sun. "He's an excellent player, able to change a match in an instant. But for Tevez to score the winner? I hope it doesn't happen.

"And for us to fail and lose the title will bring pain for months. But I'm confident in my team."

United can return to the top of the table if they don't lose against Fulham in Monday's clash at Old Trafford.
