Wayne Rooney enjoying new system at Manchester United

Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney is relishing working with new manager Louis van Gaal and the new system that he has brought to the club.

Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has revealed that he is enjoying learning a new system under boss Louis van Gaal.

The Dutchman has experimented with a 3-5-2 formation in the Red Devils' pre-season tour of the US, which has so far yielded 10 goals in three games.

Rooney is hopeful that he and his teammates can continue their promising start to life under their new manager.

He told reporters: "It's great, even at my age, to learn a new system. Hopefully the results will keep coming."

United face Real Madrid in their next pre-season match later today.
