Ravel Morrison has Manchester United regrets

Lazio midfielder Ravel Morrison admits that he has regrets over his off-the-field antics during his time at Manchester United.

Ravel Morrison has admitted that he has regrets over his conduct during his time with Manchester United.

The Englishman first joined Man United in 2009 and during his development, was hailed as one of the most exciting players to come through the system at Old Trafford.

A host of off-the-field troubles plagued Morrison's time in Manchester, however, and he moved to West Ham United in 2011 having only made three first-team appearances under Sir Alex Ferguson.

Now with Lazio, Morrison has claimed that he wasted his chance to make it with the Premier League giants.

"I have to be honest about this. Manchester United and Alex Ferguson gave me too many chances," the 22-year-old told The Sun.

"I don't think they would have given any other player the amount of opportunities they gave me. I can only blame myself and not look for excuses. A lot of the things I did wrong at United was silly stuff.

"It wasn't because I was involved in robberies. It was more messing about playing computer games and hanging out too much with my friends when I should have been more dedicated to training."

Morrison has only made two substitute Serie A appearances for Lazio this season.
